How Much Is That Per Week?
You may be wondering, based on how often you eat meat, what you’ll be spending per week on truLOCAL goods. This can help in budgeting and understanding your consumption habits.
To make things easy, we’ll break it down into three types of meat eaters:
- Occasional meat eaters, eating meat meals 1-3 times per week;
- Moderate meat eaters, eating meat 3-5 times per week; and
- Heavy meat eaters, eating meat 7-9 times per week.
Occasional Meat Eaters
If you’re an occasional meat eater, your weekly cost is about $13. In a 2-person household? That’s about $26 per week. And if there are 4 occasional meat eaters in your household, it’s about $52 per week.
Moderate Meat Eaters
Eat meat more frequently? Your average weekly cost is about $26 which translates to $52 for a 2-person household or $104 for a 4-person family.
Heavy Meat Eaters
Calling all carnivores! Your weekly cost per person is roughly $52, or $104 for a 2-person household and $210 for a family of 4 heavy meat eaters.
Somewhere in between?
Let’s say you’re a family of 4 with 2 moderate meat eating adults and 2 occasional meat eating children, you can do the math to build your cost: 2 x $26 + 2 x $13, $78 total.
How Often Should I Order?
With this information in hand, you can make an informed decision about how often to order your box. truLOCAL makes it easy, with several order frequencies to choose from. Receive your box:
- Every 2 weeks;
- Every 3 weeks;
- Once a month; or
- Every 6 weeks.
(Don’t forget that you can always get your box sooner, pause your subscription, or skip a box!)
Keeping in mind that a Regular Box costs $249, you can do the math to figure out how often you should be ordering, by simply dividing $249 by your weekly cost.
In our family of 4 example above, their weekly cost was $78. That means each box will last roughly 3 weeks ($249 ÷ $78 = 3.2). Based on that, they should set their order frequency to every 3 weeks.
I hope this information was helpful in showing you how to set up your truLOCAL subscription so that you never run out of delicious products. Happy ordering and bon appetit!
